According to a rep for StubHub, since Taylor Swift made her notable appearance at the Chiefs game last weekend (amid circulating rumors of a budding romance with Travis Kelce), the Jets have sold more than double the tickets for this Sunday’s game against the Chiefs than any single day since the season started.
If you can’t make the game in person (although tickets are still available on Stubhub), you can catch all the action — on the field and in the stands — from home. Like all of Sunday Night Football’s games this season, the Chiefs vs. Jets will game will be broadcast nationally and the NFL Network. Cable-cutters can stream the game on DirecTV, currently offering a 3-day free trial.
Taylor Swift’s recent association with the Chiefs has caused more than just a rise in ticket sales — after her appearance at last week’s game against The Bears, sales for Kelce’s No. 87 jersey spiked by nearly 400% and NFL Sunday ratings were boosted to 24.3 million viewers.
“She’s a pop star, she’s a tremendous singer, tremendous at everything she does,” Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes said after last week’s game. “I haven’t got to meet her, but I guess if she ends up being with Travis then I’ll probably get to meet her at some point. Seems like a good person, so hopefully I get to meet her one day.”
In an earlier interview on the field, Mahomes talked about the importance of getting Kelce a touchdown with Swift in the crowd. “I heard she was in the house… I felt a little bit of pressure, and so I knew I had to get it to Trav,” he said.
