“Five Nights at Freddy’s,” based on the very popular video game series will get a simultaneous release in theaters and streamers this week.
Starting on Oct. 27, “Five Nights at Freddy’s” will be ready to stream for Peacock subscribers only. If you’re not a subscriber, you can sign up for the streaming service with plans starting at $5.99/month.
In addition to “Five Nights at Freddy’s,” Peacock offers access to hit movies like “Fast X,” “Asteroid City,” “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” and more; originals like “The Continental: From the World of John Wick,” “Wolf Like Me” and “Poker Face” ; classic TV like “The Office,” “30 Rock” and “Leave It To Beaver”; live sports from NFL, Premier League and Big 10 college football and WWE; and live news from NBC News, CNBC, and MSNBC;.

The Emma Tammi-directed “Five Nights at Freddy’s” finds a new security guard named Mike (Josh Hutcherson) trying to survive the night after the cute, yet disturbing, animatronic characters of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, a once-successful Chuck E. Cheese-like pizzeria, come to life to wreck havoc on him and the restaurant.
The film adaptation from Jason Blum’s Blumhouse Productions also stars Elizabeth Lail, Piper Rubio, Mary Stuart Masterson and Matthew Lillard, among others.
Despite its day-and-date release on Peacock, the horror movie is positioned for an impressive opening weekend in theaters with projections aimed to at least $50 million. However, it may gain more box office money with positive reviews from film critics and good word-of-mouth from general audiences.
