Apple has hiked the price of its Apple TV+ streaming service for the second time in just over a year.

The tech giant updated the pricing info for Apple TV+, along with other subscription services, on its website Wednesday. The new price of Apple TV+ is $9.99/month in the U.S., up from $6.99 previously.

Apple first raised the price of Apple TV+ for new and existing subscribers in October 2022, when it kicked the subscription from $4.99 (the price point it originally launched with in November 2019) to $6.99 per month.

The company does not disclose how many subscribers it has for Apple TV+, but the streaming service is part of its overall strategy to drive up recurring revenue through subscriptions. Apple TV+ offers dozens of original titles, including Emmy-winning series “Ted Lasso,” “The Morning Show,” “Lessons in Chemistry,” “Invasion,” “For All Mankind,” “Severance,” “Bad Sisters,” “Mythic Quest” and “Pachinko,” as well as films like the 2022 Oscar best picture winner, “CODA.”

Apple TV+ also includes kids programming, including new and classic Peanuts specials, and offers access to MLB’s “Friday Night Baseball” live games and Major League Soccer matches.
